The Danish Institute for Advanced Study (DIAS) and the Department of Molecular Medicine seek an outstanding candidate to fill a position as Assistant Professor in the field of Molecular Neurobiology.
The position is a joint position at DIAS and the Department of Molecular Medicine (IMM) at the University of Southern Denmark. The position starts August 1, 2022 or as soon as possible thereafter.
The successful candidate must have an international profile and a strong record of research publication and a strong funding CV, as well as novel ideas, demonstrating a clear potential to excel in scientific research at a very high level. The appointment is a unique position for the highly ambitious “rising star” that is looking for a long-term position in a very strong interdisciplinary environment, permitting the candidate to pursue ideas with groundbreaking potential. The position runs for four years followed by the possibility for a subsequent two years of employment as an Associate Professor.

The Institute for Research in Biomedicine (http://www.irb.ch/home) provides high-level scientific education for undergraduate as well as for graduate students. The PhD program is carried out in collaboration with Swiss and foreign universities. The experimental work is carried out at IRB under the direct supervision of a Group Leader. The program includes seminars, lessons, summer courses and an annual retreat.
The laboratory of Infection and Immunity at the IRB is seeking two highly motivated candidates for a 4-year PhD position founded by the SNSF. The aim of the project is to characterize different aspects of the inflammatory response to viral infections using biochemistry, immunology as well as state-of-the-art intravital imaging technologies. The deadline for the application is the 20th of December 2021.
The sucesful candidate will hold a master’s degree in Biochemistry, Immunology or Cell Biology and be fluent in English. Experience in FACS, cell imaging, will be a plus.

The Section of Medical Biotechnology at the Department of Biological and Chemical Engineering, Aarhus University, invites applications for a 2-3 year postdoctoral fellow position in “Immunological Biotechnology and Therapeutic Protein Development”.

The Immunological Biotechnology group headed by Edzard Spillner offers applicants an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious research project in development of therapeutic protein drugs.
The global burden of allergic diseases and asthma is increasing, and novel approaches and concepts for treatment are urgently needed. The project is positioned at the interface of protein engineering, immunology, and molecular allergology and will focus on the development of biologic protein drugs with the ability to interfere with anaphylactic reactions. The project will mainly rely on combinatorial display and selection approaches, protein characterisation and expression, and in vitro and cellular analyses of biomolecular interactions.

Applicants should hold a PhD in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or similar and have strong experience within protein engineering, and molecular cloning techniques, phage or yeast display approaches, molecular interaction analysis, immunological techniques, and clinical immunology. Experience with kinetic analyses and flow cytometry are considered advantageous.
Personal competences, e.g. the ability to work as part of an international research team, to supervise students, etc., are required.
