PhD position in Immunology/Nutritional Immunology at the Biomedical Center (BMC), University of Iceland

A PhD student position is available at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Iceland to study the effects of dietary omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) on resolution of inflammation.

Resolution of inflammation is important as chronic inflammation is a causative factor in many diseases. We have shown that dietary omega-3 PUFA may enhance resolution of inflammation. The PhD project will determine the mechanism by which dietary omega-3 PUFA affect resolution of inflammation.
