Job description

We seek candidates with a PhD degree in medicine, biomedicine or a related field, and a research profile in immunology.

Your main tasks will be research and research-based teaching. A possision as Assistant Professor will be a career-development position where you will receive supervision and pedagogical training.

The candidate can enter into the current immunological research area at the department, but can also establish independently within the deparment group of Medical Microbiology and Immunology. The current immunology research at the department involves, basal dendritic cell biology, immunotherapy, cancer vaccine development and STING-signaling. State-of-the-art laboratories for cell work, molecular biology and rodent experiments are available.

The candidate is expected to deliver teaching within immunology on the study programme for medicine, but may also teach in other bachelor and master programs at the department. Teaching in immunology is PBL based and include lectures, case-based sessions, laboratory courses and project supervision. Previous teaching and supervision experience will be emphasised.

The bachelor educations are mainly taught in Danish but teaching and supervision in English is possible. If you are a non-native Danish speaker, you will be expected to learn Danish within the first few years of your employment to be able to conduct teaching with support from the department.
