WELCOME TO THE 44:TH ANNUAL MEETING OF THE SCANDINAVIAN SOCIETY OF IMMUNOLOGY (SSI 2017)
17-20 October 2017, Stockholm, Sweden
We are delighted to welcome you to Stockholm and the 44th meeting of the Scandinavian Society for Immunology (SSI). The SSI meetings circulate among the national immunology societies in Scandinavia and in 2017 the Swedish Society for Immunology (SWIMM) has the honor of being the host.
The advances in the immunology field rapidly increase our understanding of how the immune system can be influenced to fight diseases. Several immunomodulatory treatments are now used in the clinic, successfully managing a wide spectrum of diseases from cancer to chronic inflammation.
Immunotherapy of cancer represents a particularly dynamic development, and SSI 2017 will put an emphasis on this topic. However, the meeting will also present cutting-edge research in many other fields of immunology, from basic aspects to translational studies. We feel confident that there will be topics of interest for all immunologists.
