Scope of the project: We offer an exciting position in the field of tumor immunology in a highly clinically relevant research area. The focus of the group Immunopharmacology (head: PD Dr. Sebastian Kobold) is the development of new anti-tumoral immunotherapies. The postdoc will develop a novel strategy for antibody-based therapy of cancer. The project is embedded in the doctoral program i Target (Immunotargeting of Cancer) of the Elite Network of Bavaria (www.immunotarget.de) and in the Marie-Sklodowska Curie Network IMMUTRAIN, funded by the European Union.
Please find the minute of the meeting from the resent general assembly.
This year the SSI General Assembly will take place in Amsterdam during the ECI meeting:
General Assembly: Room 6 Tuesday 4/9 13.15-14.30
This will be posted on the SSI webpage and the agenda will be posted there before the meeting.
A Three-year position as postdoc at the Department of Biomedicine, Aarhus University, is open for appointment from October 1, 2018 or soon thereafter.
The innate immune system is the first barriers to infections. Patients with genetic defects in the innate immune system exhibit selective susceptibility to infections. We are using gene-modified mouse strains harboring disease-causing mutations identified in patients, and mouse models for virus infections to uncover the mechanisms leading to infectious diseases in genetically predisposed individuals. The work will include a panel of cutting-edge methods including immunohistochemistry, laser capture micro dissection, and RNA sequencing. This will be combined with in vitro work, based on e.g. human stem cell-derived cells.
Deadline
All applications must be made online and received by: 31.07.2018.
A Three-year position as postdoc at the Department of Biomedicine, Aarhus University, is open for appointment from October 1, 2018 or soon thereafter.
The position is associated with a larger program on innate immunology and virus infections. The successful candidates will be working on a project addressing the mechanisms governing cell death during virus infections and immune-signaling. For this purpose, we will use genome-wide CRISPR screens, cell culture systems, molecular biology/biochemistry, and mouse infection models.
Deadline
All applications must be made online and received by: 31.07.2018
